A little bit about me

2013

While in high school my passion for design was kicked off when I discovered lettering & typography artwork on Instagram. Following this discovery (and the instant obsession that it sparked) I started to share the work that I found inspiring on and instagram account titled Typography Inspired, asking the artists for permission and crediting them. Within a number of years the account had grown to an audience of more than 260,000 followers, and was one of the leading typography showcase accounts on Instagram.

2016

Following high school, I enrolled to Edinburgh College to study Graphic Design, gaining a National Certificate after 1 year of study, and a Higher National Diploma after a following 2 years of study.

2018

In the final months before graduating from college I was hired by award-winning Scottish tech bootcamp, CodeClan, to rebrand the company and design a new company website. After completion of this I was then offered a permanent role as their in-house graphic designer across 3 locations, working on projects such as campaign development & art working, social media content creation, digital advertising, brand governance throughout the business, web design, and merchandising. In 2022 a TikTok focused social campaign that I developed was shortlisted for a Marketing Society Scotland Star award (get in touch to find out more about this project). I stayed with CodeClan for 5 years, changing from full-time to part-time after 3 years to pursue a new part-time opportunity.

2021

In 2021 I followed my lifetime passion for film into a role with London based film-distribution company Peccadillo Pictures, on a 3-day-a-week remote freelance contract, where I worked on projects such as poster design, digital advertising, social media content creation, promotional materials for cinemas, DVD & Blu-ray in-lays, magazine advertising, VOD (video on demand) asset creation, film catalogues, and zines. Between 2021 and 2023 I worked 3 days per week with Peccadillo Pictures, and 2 days per week with CodeClan, before going on to freelance full-time in the summer of 2023.

Present Day

Today, I work with a variety of clients across multiple industries including tech, film & tv, retail and hospitality.
